Job summary

W.T. Rich Company, a Massachusetts construction firm with five decades of experience, seeks a Project Manager to lead Worcester County projects on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and financial success.

The role requires coordinating resources, managing budgets, and delivering a complete project lifecycle from design to closeout. Strong client, architect, and subcontractor relationships are essential for profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Construction Management or Engineering; other relative degrees are a plus.
• 5–10 years of Project Management experience on large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with Procore software is a plus.
• Knowledge of Chapter 149a contract process; not required.
• Knowledge of job cost reporting, billing and payable procedures; not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with the client, architect, subcontractors, vendors and colleagues to reinforce collaboration among all project team members.
• Drive pre-construction activities such as design review, purchasing and schedule creation.
• Maintain budget for the life of the project.
• Collaborate with estimating to ensure profitability and subcontractor selection.
• Prepare and manage all contractual requirements with subcontractors, including scope definitions, contracts and purchase orders.
• Lead and communicate with field supervision, subcontractors and vendors to maintain the project schedule.
• Attend schedule and management meetings to monitor and manage the project.
• Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality.
• Manage all requisitions and payments including lien releases and payroll, ensuring cash flow.
• Execute project closeout with delivery of manuals, warranties, as-builts and training to the client.
