On-Site Construction Project Leader

Job summary

W.T. Rich Company, a Worcester, MA-based construction firm with a 50+ year track record, seeks an on-site Project Manager to oversee overall direction, completion, and financial outcomes of projects.

You will coordinate resources and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires managing relationships, pre-construction activities, budgets, subcontractor agreements, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Construction Management or Engineering required or preferred.
• 5–10 years of Project Management experience on projects $30–$70M (or larger).
• Thorough understanding of Procore software is preferred.
• Knowledge of Chapter 149a contract process is preferred.
• Knowledge of job cost reporting, billing and payable procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with client, architect, subcontractors, vendors and colleagues to reinforce collaboration.
• Drive pre-construction activities such as design review, purchasing and schedule creation.
• Maintain project budget over the life of the project.
• Collaborate with estimating to ensure profitability and client satisfaction; select subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage all contractual requirements with subcontractors (scope, contracts, PO).
• Lead field supervision, subcontractors and vendors to maintain the project schedule.
• Attend schedule/management meetings to monitor and manage the project.
• Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality.
• Manage requisitions and payments, lien releases and payroll to optimize cash flow.
• Execute project closeout with subcontractor closeouts, manuals, warranties, as-builts and training.
