Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Project Coordinator to support construction managers and superintendents by planning, scheduling, and budgeting projects. You will help manage resources, documents, and contracts to keep work on time and within budget.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 0–5+ years in construction, and knowledge of MS Office and project management tools. The role is on-site at our Bethesda location with a focus on safety, quality, and collaboration with

Qualifications

High School/GED required.
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred.
0-5+ years’ experience in construction-related position.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Excellent working knowledge of construction methods and building systems.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety is incorporated into planning and execution; enforce safety policies.
Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
Materials management including submittals, shop drawings, tracking/expediting material deliveries.
Assist in development and updates to the project schedule; establish completion timeframes.
Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
Prepare monthly Owner Pay Applications and assist with budget.
Assist with monthly margin analysis and risk assessments.
Project procurement management and issue resolution for changes.
