Job summary

Amphibious Medics is seeking an On-Site EMT/Paramedic to serve as a construction site medical representative, working with Health and Safety teams to ensure a safe environment for workers. Typical duties include triage, first aid, and coordinating care with outside providers.

The candidate should have 911 EMS experience, be able to perform CPR, maintain records, and navigate large construction sites. OSHA experience and instructor certifications are highly valued in this role.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with movement of an injured person when necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience working on large-scale construction sites.
• Experience with the workers' compensation claim process.
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
• An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medical provider if indicated.
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately.
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site.
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the treatment of employees.
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers' injury/healing progression and provide direct follow-up care with workers.
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team.
• Perform frequent site walks to interact with both workers and managers.
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair.
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings with construction workers.
