Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Construction Manager Intern/Co-Op for an on-site position in San Antonio, TX. You’ll assist the CM with scopes, budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination on food and beverage facility projects.

You will gain hands-on experience with field safety, procurement, and project reporting while traveling up to 100% to projects across the USA and Canada. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Construction Management with a GPA of 3.0+ and strong communication

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field with GPA 3.0+.
• Familiarity with design-build construction method is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Project is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with project management on developing and updating project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Project accounting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Establish and maintain site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Support process, mechanical and utility equipment installations.
• Permitting, code and regulatory administration.
• Coordination of field engineering and inspection coordination.
• Support third-party testing, inspection, and relationships.
• This role is client facing and requires collaboration with owners, subs, building officials, and the A/E team.
• Prepare and maintain project reports and logs.
• Review and maintain submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
