Job summary

Thornton Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities include supervising field staff, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining project documentation. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of related experience, OSHA-30 certification, and proven ability to manage complex field operations while communicating effectively with the Project

Qualifications

• Minimum four to six years of construction experience in field supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret contract drawings, specifications and addenda.
• Strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Familiarity with project safety plans, OSHA requirements and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site supervision to complete work on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain and update project schedule, ensuring field activities align with baseline commitments.
• Promote safety culture; conduct toolbox talks and enforce site safety plans.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and Project Manager to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Prepare daily reports and manage documentation for site activities and changes.
• Support project closeout activities including inspections and turnover.
