Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on commercial projects in Buckhannon, WV. You will oversee subs, vendors, and field crews, while maintaining schedules and enforcing safety policies to protect workers and project timelines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supervisory roles on commercial sites, strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid grasp of construction plans, schedules, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction superintendent experience preferred.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, schedules, and specifications.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to identify and solve problems in the field.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and OSHA standards.
• Proficiency with construction technology and project management software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but equivalent field experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations and overall jobsite activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and communicate progress to the project team.
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections and ensure quality standards are met.
• Enforce site safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents.
• Coordinate inspections and resolve field issues as they arise.
• Track materials, manpower, equipment, and deliveries.
• Lead weekly/daily subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Work closely with Project Managers and ownership to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Identify potential construction issues before they impact schedule or cost.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and according to specifications.
