Job summary

J. Benton Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on dedicated projects in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The role focuses on safety, quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance, working closely with Project Managers to deliver on contract requirements. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering, OSHA 30, and 5+ years of supervision in commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or related field.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of field leadership in commercial construction.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and field teams.
• Ability to read drawings and coordinate means and methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities and crews.
• Administer site safety programs and enforce OSHA standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel for milestones.
• Manage field changes, documentation, and closeout records.
