Job summary

The Peterson Company is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead on-site operations with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule. This role interfaces with the design team and Owner on smaller, less complex projects, reporting to the General Superintendent.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of superintendent experience in commercial construction, OSHA 30‑hour certification, and strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities. Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam are preferred tools.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as a superintendent or equivalent in commercial construction.
• Must be 30-hour OSHA certified.
• Leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork, and coaching/mentoring are key components.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project safety, quality, and schedule for all assigned projects from kickoff to closeout.
• Mentor and develop other Peterson team members while managing projects.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, project team, and subcontractors.
• Review project documents for constructability; manage RFIs, ASIs, and as‑builts.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate site inspections and meetings.
• Create and enforce a site‑specific safety plan with the Safety Manager.
