Ironmark Building Co. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team for a Tucson-area project. You will assist in daily management of commercial construction operations, focusing on safety, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will have a construction background, the ability to read blueprints, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. On-site work and OSHA standards are essential to this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred.
• On-site work at the Tucson project location.
• Know local codes and OSHA/ safety regulations; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong communication with diverse teams.
• Proficient with MS Office and mobile devices.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of commercial construction project operations, people, and processes.
• Apply cost containment, quality control, and risk management to ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
• Create a safe work environment per OSHA and the company Safety Program.
• Ensure adherence to the schedule; coordinate expediting with subs and suppliers.
• Supervise on-site construction activities with the Project Superintendent.
• Develop schedules and coordinate trades.
• Maintain daily work documentation and submit timely reports.
• Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
