Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Project Estimator to support pricing for construction projects across retail, hospital, and municipal sectors. This on-site role requires strong cost analysis and preconstruction skills.

You will manage quantity takeoffs, budgets, subcontractor proposals, and risk analysis, with a focus on GMP development and accurate cost forecasting. Experience with Bluebeam, Sage, Excel and related estimating platforms is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Experience with BluBeam, Sage, Excel, or similar estimating system.
• Strong Cost Analysis Experience.
• Must be able to pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity takeoffs, estimation, GMP development, and cost analysis
• Review project documents, develop budgets, pricing, evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals during preconstruction process
• Identify potential project risks, opportunities, and cost impacts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Participate in pre-bod meetings, site visits, and project interviews
• Perform constructability reviews, value engineering analyses, and cost-saving evaluations.
