Zusammenfassung

SPC Co. is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide crucial technical support, ensuring construction work meets engineering standards, codes, and contract specs.

You’ll work on the Palisades Tunnel Project, a landmark infrastructure effort linking New Jersey and New York, using advanced tunnel technology. You will review schedules, assist with drawings and material requirements, track performance, and help manage costs and permits.

Qualifikationen

• Two-year degree or training is required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge required.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, materials and standards applicable to the project.

Aufgaben

• Meet daily with project crews to review production schedule and ensure materials and resources are available.
• Assist with shop drawing analysis, design specifications, material requirements and project data to meet contract specs.
• Provide input for project work plan and identify potential production risks.
• Track project performance and document daily activities using approved methods.
• Coordinate cost coding with finance for time, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Review and resolve timecard inquiries with payroll and supervisors.
• Review project specifications for QA and manage certificates, inspections and docs.
• Plan field layout, mark utilities and secure permits before production begins.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and participate in weekly safety meetings.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods and crews as needed.
