WS Development's Station Square redevelopment in Pittsburgh seeks a Director, Construction to lead on-site execution of core & shell, infrastructure, and tenant improvements across a busy, occupied district.

Reporting to VP of Construction, this role coordinates with Leasing, Development, Design Studio and Operations, managing budgets, schedules, changes, and contracts while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years in commercial construction with leadership roles.
• Experience with mixed-use, retail, or adaptive-reuse projects.
• Experience delivering construction on active occupied properties.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of all construction activity across Station Square redevelopment.
• Serve as primary on-site construction leader coordinating multiple concurrent projects while maintaining safety and uninterrupted operations.
• Provide oversight and mentorship of construction team members to ensure milestones and best practices.
• Review and approve project budgets, schedules, change orders, and contracts for Station Square work.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage risks related to adaptive reuse, active rail, marina, and public access points.
• Drive constructability reviews to optimize feasibility as master plan evolves.
• Oversee turnover of spaces to Tenant Construction, Operations and Leasing teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in construction processes across the long-term program.
