Job summary

AE Works in Pittsburgh seeks experienced Construction Administrators (CM-CA) to support VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System upgrades across University Drive and Heinz campuses. You will work on-site daily, monitoring quality, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with COR and Resident Engineer Office to keep projects moving safely and on time.

This role requires on-site presence, familiarity with healthcare construction, and ability to review submittals, RFI's, and cost impacts.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited institution with 3+ years of CM experience; medical facilities preferred.
• OR 6 years of CM experience with comparable projects and healthcare experience.
• Ability to present three completed projects of comparable scale/complexity in a similar role.
• Willingness to complete required federal training (OSHA 30, VA Cyber Security Awareness, VA Privacy Awareness).

Responsibilities

• Monitor budgets and costs; review pay apps against budgets and completed work.
• Maintain project schedule; log daily activity and flag schedule slippages.
• Support issue resolution; assist with claims, time-impact analyses, and risk assessments.
• Oversee quality and testing; track tests and inspections; support commissioning.
• Conduct field inspections; identify nonconforming work and maintain as-built docs.
• Review submittals and long-lead items; track schedule impacts from materials.
• Support post-award and occupancy coordination; take meeting minutes and relocate coordination.
• Maintain documentation; produce daily logs and weekly inspection summaries.
• Provide advisory support on submittals, RFIs, and changes.
