Job summary

Apex Multifamily Builders in Texas is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to own the field daily, ensuring work is built right, on schedule, and per plans. You will manage subcontractors, verify measurements, and document progress with a focus on quality and safety.

The role requires reading full construction documents, coordinating city inspections, and keeping projects moving through proactive problem solving and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings.
• Proven ability to enforce quality and safety standards on site.
• Manages subcontractors and coordinates inspections to prevent issues.
• Familiar with building codes (IBC, IRC, NEC, IPC, IMC) and ADA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings; identify conflicts and RFIs before field problems.
• Walk plans daily to verify dimensions and finishes against documents.
• Coordinate city, county, and AHJ inspections and close out punch items.
• Directly supervise subcontractors and enforce scope, quality, and schedule.
• Run daily quality checks and reject defective work at the subcontractor level.
• Produce end-of-day reports covering manpower, work in place, weather, and inspections.
• Capture daily progress photos and maintain the project schedule with the PM.
• Ensure site safety, OSHA compliance, and PPE rules.
