Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, VA is seeking a CMM Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This on-site role focuses on developing dimensional inspection programs and coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet delivery requirements.

You will program CMMs and structured light systems (ATOS Blue Light), use NX CAD, and create tooling and gating schemes. A strong background in Visual Basic or Python and experience with CMM Manager is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical field or high school diploma/equivalent with two years relevant experience.
• Five years related experience and/or training.
• US work authorization required; export controls apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop Dimensional inspection programs using Visual Basic and Python from blueprints, CAD models, and specs.
• Troubleshoot, modify, or enhance existing programs as required.
• Understand coordinate metrology and CMM Manager; define requirements for enhancements.
• Use NX CAD to extract geometric info for CMM and Structured Light programs; manage data.
• Instruct end users in application usage; perform other duties as assigned.
