Job summary

UB Neurosurgery, Inc is seeking an on-site full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and advance patient care in Buffalo, NY. The role includes vital signs, EMR documentation, and pre/post procedure coordination.

Responsibilities cover rooming, consent discussions, medication checks, and patient education. Certification as a Medical Assistant is required, with opportunities for growth and a benefits package including health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant training program and 2-5 years medical office experience.
• EMR experience, preferably Medent, and strong computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Room patients; obtain vital signs, record chief complaints, verify/update medications in EMR system.
• Obtain patient consent/answer patient questions regarding opiate agreement.
• Prepare rooms for office procedures (trigger point injections, Botox injections, stimulator lead removals, joint injections etc.).
• Checkout patients after appointment and schedule follow-ups as needed.
• Assist medical providers with treatment modalities as indicated.
