Job summary

Diagnostic-Laboratories- in Carrollton, TX is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to support specimen processing, testing, and reporting. You will maintain quality control, document proficiency testing, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure accurate results.

Requirements include an Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field, MLS/MLT/CLS/MT certification, and up to 1 year of clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to follow laboratory policies and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, reporting and maintaining patient test records.
• Maintains records proving proficiency testing samples are tested like patient samples.
• Adheres to quality control policies and documents calibrations and maintenance.
• Identifies problems that may affect test performance or reporting.
• Performs routine and new test procedures requiring professional judgment.
• Communicates with nurses and physicians and collaborates with team.
