Job summary

Osmose, based in Atlanta, is seeking an Engineer I for the Structural Steel Services team to support asset management for steel transmission infrastructure across the United States. Under supervision, you will perform analyses, prepare designs and reports, assist inspections, and collaborate with project engineers to deliver high‑quality services; occasional travel and on‑site work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering or engineering technology.
• 1–2 years in the analysis, design, or testing of structural steel, reinforced concrete or soils.
• Successful completion of FE examination and certification as an Engineer In Training (EIT).
• Willingness to travel overnight (0–20%), usually for 2–3 days.
• Willingness to pursue additional training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and calculations for structural steel and reinforced concrete.
• Assist in planning restoration, strengthening and corrosion control within project guidelines.
• Support structure inspections and field work per contract requirements.
• Perform engineering assessments, writing reports and technical documents.
• Review field data for accuracy and provide field support and QA.
• Interact with customers via phone, email and web to support team goals.
• Support Pilot and R&D projects with data analysis and field data collection.
