Orion Placement is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join our Libertyville office. The role focuses on representing clients in civil litigation, developing case strategies, and handling pleadings, discovery, and trial prep.

Qualified candidates will hold a JD, Illinois bar admission, and 2+ years of civil litigation experience, with strong writing and communication skills. This is an on-site, full-time position in Libertyville, IL.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Illinois.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years of strong, directly relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with legal research, pleadings, discovery, and litigation case management.
• Strong legal writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Courtroom or hearing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Libertyville, IL.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters and help develop effective legal strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and develop persuasive legal arguments.
• Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases forward efficiently.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide practical, responsive legal guidance.
• Manage case deadlines and maintain high standards of legal work.
