Orion Placement in Shelbyville, IN is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 3+ years of civil litigation experience. This on-site role supports attorneys from intake through trial, handling case management, document prep, and discovery while delivering thoughtful client service.

You'll work closely with attorneys on civil matters, manage deadlines, coordinate depositions, and help move cases forward in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment that values initiative.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience required.
• Experience managing litigation files and supporting attorneys through multiple stages of a case.
• Strong experience with legal document preparation, records review, discovery, and deadline management.
• Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and collaborate with attorneys.
• Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience preferred.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and genuine commitment to client service.

Responsabilités

• Manage civil litigation and personal injury cases from initial client meetings through settlement or trial.
• Work closely with attorneys to develop cases, organize evidence, and support litigation strategy.
• Gather, review, and analyze medical records, legal documents, and other case materials.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and settlement-related documents.
• Track litigation deadlines, maintain organized case files, and proactively advance matters.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, court filings, and trial preparation.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance representatives.
• Identify potential issues, anticipate next steps, and help keep every case moving efficiently.
