Job summary

Orion Placement seeks an experienced civil litigator to own matters from pleadings to resolution in Maple Grove, MN. You will represent clients in real estate, business, estates, and trusts, crafting strategies and persuasive pleadings.

The role emphasizes mentoring, growth of the practice, and collaboration within a growing firm. Minnesota Bar admission and 4+ years of civil litigation are required, with on-site work preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Bar admission.
• 4+ years of civil litigation experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with pleadings, motions, written discovery, and depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Willingness to work primarily on-site in Maple Grove.
• Experience with real estate, business, probate, or trust disputes is a plus.
• Prior law firm experience preferred; solo practitioners are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial pleadings through discovery, motions, depositions, and resolution.
• Represent clients in disputes involving real estate, business matters, estates, and trusts.
• Develop effective litigation strategies and provide practical, thoughtful legal guidance.
• Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, negotiate resolutions, and advocate for clients.
• Collaborate with fellow attorneys and mentor junior associates.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of our practice.
• Provide occasional support on transactional matters as needed.
