Job summary

Pritchard Industries is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the on-site maintenance and engineering operations for a commercial facility. This role acts as the liaison with the client Facilities Management Team and has full authority to manage building systems and maintenance activities.

The Chief Engineer will lead the Maintenance Engineering Department, develop and manage PM programs, and ensure safety and compliance while coordinating with management and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, life/safety and plumbing operations.
• Budget preparation and administration experience.
• Strong supervisory and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance Engineering Department on-site.
• Maintain high performance standards across maintenance activities.
• Develop and manage the PM program (CMMS).
• Coordinate work schedules and assign tasks.
• Provide regular reports to management.
• Ensure safety programs and training for staff.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage outside subcontractors.
• Respond to tenant calls and emergencies as needed.
