Charles Schwab is hiring a Banking Operations Associate in Check Operations in El Paso, TX. The role focuses on check deposits and disbursements, with emphasis on accuracy, risk management, and exceptional client service.

You will be a primary contact for branch partners and clients, handling transactions with attention to detail, while learning Schwab’s money movement solutions and internal processing systems. This is an on-site position in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in client service or operations with brokerage/financial industry preferred.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology and utilize multiple data systems to proactively identify solutions.
• Self-driven and able to work in a high-volume environment.
• Intermediate technical skills with multiple applications (Windows, internet research, databases, email).
• Excellent operational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage complex work.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory, audit, and compliance policies related to the financial industry will need to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Effectively managing and evaluating risk while depositing funds and processing disbursement requests.
• Assist clients in navigating money movement solutions and services available at Schwab.
• Problem solving and conducting research through internal processing systems, phone and emails.
• Identify situations where escalation is warranted and take action quickly in a high-risk environment.
• Perform work that is detailed and communicated clearly and effectively.
• Work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactively educate clients and internal partners on processes and services.
• Support business initiatives by developing strong partnerships.
