Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed is hiring a Catering Captain for Boise State University on-site. The role coordinates staff schedules, serves at functions, and may drive delivery of food and beverages to events.

Experience in catering or front-of-house is preferred. The position supports the Catering Director and requires maintaining food safety, presentation, and service quality across functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, serving, or front-of-house roles preferred.
• Ability to interact with customers in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering staff schedules for timely service.
• Prepare and serve food at functions under supervision.
• May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages.
• Determine workload from catering orders and discuss setup with groups.
• Address last-minute changes and resolve issues with clients.
• Supervise staff expectations and ensure proper setup of rooms.
• Return supplies and ensure proper presentation and temperatures.
