Job summary

Acento Real Estate Partners is seeking a hands-on Carpenter to join the on-site maintenance team in Virginia. You will perform repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, and assist with unit turns and seasonal tasks to keep residential properties in top condition.

Ideal candidates bring strong carpentry skills, basic maintenance knowledge, and excellent communication to interact with residents and contractors.

Qualifications

• Proficient in carpentry including drywall, framing, cabinetry and finishing.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect units and common areas; report maintenance needs.
• Perform repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Complete unit turns, respond to resident requests, and assist with seasonal tasks.
• Handle after-hours emergencies and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with fair housing laws.
