Job summary

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Carpenter Helper to support our carpenters on site. You will assist with building forms, chutes, rails, stairs, and other structures while keeping the site tidy and safe. Ideal candidates are physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, wear PPE, and follow safety procedures.

HS diploma or equivalent is required. You will load and unload materials, prepare work sites, and report issues to the foreman.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights and on roofs.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must wear PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and work boots.

Responsibilities

• Assists the carpenter with building forms, chutes, rails, stairs, and other structures.
• Maintains a clean jobsite, secures tools daily to prevent hazards.
• Performs material handling and storage; loads/unloads materials from trucks.
• Prepares materials and sites for work activity.
• Reports problems to Foreman, Supervisor, or Safety Manager; follows safety procedures.
