Job summary

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors seeks a skilled Carpenter to join our San Antonio crew. You will study blueprints, measure and lay out materials, and assemble structures on site.

Responsibilities include reading plans, preparing layouts with levels and chalk lines, and constructing forms for concrete. Candidates should have a HS Diploma and at least 1 year of construction experience, with ability to travel between jobsites.

Qualifications

• Study blueprints and building plans for material requirements.
• Prepare layouts using rulers, framing squares, and levels.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and suggest lumber types.
• Prepare layouts with rulers, framing squares, transits, and levels; mark cuts and lines.
• Assemble, cut, shape materials and fasten with nails, screws, or glue.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders to access structures at height.
• Verify trueness with plumb bob and level; lay sub-flooring and erect frameworks.
• Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
