Job summary

Fortem Technologies is seeking an on-site Buyer to support supplier relationships and procurement for production materials. You will review MRP messages, issue RFQs, evaluate quotes, and place purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate inventory counts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 1 year of buying experience, with strong MS Office and ERP/MRP skills, and US citizenship for on-site work in Utah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year direct experience as a Buyer or similar role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong ERP/MRP skills.
• US Citizenship is required for this on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP messages to determine material requirements for customer orders or forecasted demand.
• Send RFQs to prequalified suppliers based on material requirements.
• Review supplier quotes and recommend the best option for purchase.
• Create and execute purchase orders with suppliers.
• Review payment requirements with accounting and help facilitate prepayments as needed.
• Follow-up with suppliers to ensure materials are received according to promised date.
• Assist with onboarding new suppliers as requested.
• Support the Engineering Team with sourcing and delivery of prototype materials.
• Help maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Fortem Technologies, Inc.
