Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton in Billerica, MA is seeking a Buyer-Planner to plan and execute supply chain activities for the CDU and Chiller product lines, including placing POs, releasing work orders, and expediting materials. The role reports to the Planning Supervisor and involves collaboration with planning, purchasing, warehouse and manufacturing, with on-site work only.

Candidates should have an associate degree, 3 years of manufacturing supply chain experience, ERP experience, and strong

Qualifications

Associate degree in Business or related field required.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing supply chain experience with purchasing and planning using an MRP.
Experience with ERP systems is required.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with suppliers; willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute purchase orders and releases to support production.
Expedite materials and manage blanket order releases from negotiated agreements.
Collaborate with planning, purchasing, warehouse and manufacturing to drive improvements.
Implement visual ordering systems such as VMI or Kanban where practical.
Participate in Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and root cause analysis.
Support operations and supply chain as required.
