Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton is seeking a Production Planner to build and maintain production schedules that meet customer delivery and efficiency targets. You will align materials, labor, and equipment with demand, monitor capacity, and drive improvements across manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate across Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to balance inventory and optimize throughput, while maintaining accurate ERP/MRP data and supporting lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; 3–5 years planning/scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics or similar).
• Experience in manufacturing, lean initiatives a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Analyze orders, forecasts, inventory levels, and material availability to craft attainable plans.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials are available for schedules.
• Monitor work orders and production progress; adjust for shortages or downtime.
• Collaborate with Supervisors to balance workloads and utilize resources efficiently.
• Review performance to improve throughput, adherence, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain planning data in ERP/MRP; communicate changes to teams.
• Support inventory control to balance service levels with stock.
• Participate in S&OP and planning meetings; drive continuous improvement.
