Job summary

Victaulic, a global leader in mechanical pipe joining solutions, seeks a Manufacturing Buyer Planner in Rock Island, TN. You will own day-to-day planning, purchasing, and material flow for assigned product lines to meet customer commitments.

You will balance capacity and inventory health with supplier performance, using data and Lean principles to drive delivery and reduce waste on-site at the Rock Island facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's degree (2-year)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Purchasing, Material Control, or Manufacturing Planning
• Strong analytical problem-solving ability
• A customer-service-driven mindset
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Plan, purchase, and manage assigned supply points and product lines to deliver finished goods.
• Release purchase orders for production material and floor stock.
• Build knowledge of component options and material grades.
• Use replenishment methods to minimize dead/inactive inventory and maximize availability.
• Collaborate with warehouse, manufacturing, customer service, and shipping teams.
• Expedite suppliers and monitor performance; participate in lean initiatives.
