Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and respond to tenant requests. You will perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety compliance under guidance from senior engineers.

Ideal candidates have licenses, CFC preferred, and familiarity with BAS, MS Office, and work order systems. This 100% in-office role requires physical tasks and on-call rotations. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Engineering or trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and upscale issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies; assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight.
• Follow company safety protocols and use PPE for all tasks; ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations; report hazards immediately and participate in safety audits.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; handle urgent tenant service requests and support recovery efforts during severe weather and system outages.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work closely with senior engineers and technicians.
• Work closely with senior engineers to develop technical skills; participate in professional development programs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
