Job summary

Laland Baptiste is seeking a Construction Inspector to support large-scale public construction projects in the Bronx, NY. The role focuses on concrete, structural steel façade, and masonry work, ensuring compliance with drawings and contract documents.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, formwork checks, masonry monitoring, and field documentation. On-site work in Bronx required; NYC public-agency experience is a plus, with certifications highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of construction inspection experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, masonry, structural, or façade work.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings and specs.
• Experience on large commercial, institutional, government, or public-sector projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of concrete, masonry, and façade construction activities.
• Inspect formwork, reinforcing steel/rebar, embeds, concrete placement, curing, and related structural work.
• Monitor masonry installation and exterior envelope components for code compliance.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, photographs, and field documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, testing agencies, and other inspectors.
• Assist with punch-list inspections and corrective work.
