Job summary

A construction management firm is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector in the New York/New Jersey Metro area. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience and knowledge in building concrete work and construction codes. Responsibilities include overseeing construction sites and preparing project reports. A valid driver's license is required along with an ability to work night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with inspecting construction work.
• Working knowledge of construction codes for New Jersey, New York City, and New York State.
• Ability to pass a TWIC, SIDA, and/or SWAC background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ongoing construction of various civil job sites.
• Attend acceptance inspections of new construction and confirm requirements are met.
• Prepare work reports on all ongoing projects.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Tools

ICC/NICET Level 3 Asphalt or Highway Construction certification
