Job summary

Demesmin and Dover PLLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to support trial teams. You will coordinate all phases before, during, and after trial, including interviews, legal research, document filing, and trial attendance.

The role requires at least 2+ years in legal services, a paralegal program (preferred), and strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site position with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
• General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court.
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• E-file court documents in federal and state court.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons.
• Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
• Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
• Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.
