Job summary

Demesmin and Dover PLLC is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to support our trial team in Fort Lauderdale. You will coordinate all phases of litigation prep, including interviews, legal research, document filing, and trial attendance.

The successful candidate will assist with pleadings, discovery, and deposition preparation while liaising with clients, attorneys, and courts. This on-site role requires strong organizational skills and dedication to accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services in a law firm.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.
• General litigation experience, preferably in federal court.
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court rules and procedures.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• E-file court documents in federal and state court.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons.
• Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
• Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
• Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
• Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.
