Job summary

Shennon Biotechnologies is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day biomedical laboratory operations, ensuring equipment, supplies, and infrastructure support cutting-edge research. The role emphasizes cross-functional process improvements, safety programs, and orderly office operations, with a strong focus on building scalable systems for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field required; master's preferred.
• 2+ years in operations, lab management, facilities, or related role, biotech/start-up experience a plus.
• Experience in a laboratory environment as a lab technician or lab research associate is desirable.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, inventory, procurement, and vendor coordination; safety/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day biotech laboratory operations, ensuring equipment, supplies and infrastructure are maintained to support research activities.
• Coordinate servicing, calibration, preventive maintenance, repairs and service contracts; maintain records and coordinate with providers.
• Coordinate laboratory safety programs, training, waste disposal, safety docs, permits and regulatory reporting.
• Manage purchasing of lab supplies, equipment and office resources; maintain inventory systems and vendor relationships.
