Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Mechanic to customize belts and rubber components for in‑house or customer-site work. You will build and repair belts, verify parts, and ensure safety and quality in a collaborative environment.

You should have a strong mechanical background, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; overtime and weekend work may be required. Training and support are provided to help you grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights/tight spaces.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Organization and prioritization skills.
• Overtime hours and weekend work may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build / repair belts and rubber components.
• Fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting, systems, and other rubber products.
• Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies;
• Maintain stock area, prepare sales orders
• Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
• Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved.
• Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment
• Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
