Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Belt Technician to customize heavy duty belts and rubber components to customer specifications, in-house or on customer sites. You will receive extensive training and support to help you grow with the company while contributing to customer satisfaction and profitability.

You will build, repair, install, and vulcanize conveyor belting, work safely, and interact with teammates to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.

Qualifications

• 1+ year proven experience in field service, maintenance, or related hands-on work.
• Strong mechanical background with ability to work at heights and in tight spaces.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and travel up to 20% with potential overnight stays.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair belts and rubber components.
• Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting.
• Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area and prepare sales orders.
• Pickup and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
• Fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting, systems, and other rubber products.
• Maintain safety and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Detect and report defective equipment or improper operations.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and keep work area neat and orderly.
