Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Stockton, CA is seeking a Mechanic to customize light and heavy-duty belts and rubber components to customer specifications, in-house or on customer sites. The role includes extensive training, feedback, and teamwork to drive customer satisfaction and company results.

Responsibilities include building and repairing belts, fabricating systems, receiving parts, maintaining stock, and delivering orders.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background required.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights.
• Overtime hours and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build / repair belts and rubber components.
• Fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting, systems and other rubber products.
• Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies.
• Maintain stock area and prepare sales orders.
• Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
• Uphold safety rules and keep work area neat and orderly.
• Use tools and equipment properly and report any defects.
• Observe all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
