Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an AV Facility Technician to deliver on-site audio visual and meeting support for an established multi-channel retailer.

You will set up and break down spaces to meet event needs, perform preventive maintenance, and provide in-room assistance to ensure customers can use AV equipment. The role requires strong AV troubleshooting skills, blueprints reading ability, and the capacity to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in audiovisual support, integration, meetings and events, or a related field.
• Audiovisual troubleshooting knowledge.
• Intermediate PC troubleshooting knowledge.
• Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control.
• Ability to read and utilize blueprints and audio/video flow diagrams.
• Knowledge of network troubleshooting to diagnose IP addresses.
• Excellent communication with employees, customers, and colleagues.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate room sweeps and walk-throughs of all spaces and test basic functions.
• Maintain records of all pass/fail status and tickets and ensure resolution of problems.
• Support meeting room setups and ensure end users can use equipment in-room including monitors, VC, cameras, mics.
• Troubleshoot and repair needs including cable replacements, power-cycles, and AV component configurations.
• Build and maintain an inventory of all AV equipment for assigned locations.
• Monitor conference room health and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Maintain facility documentation and SOPs.
• Participate in regular team meetings to align on procedures, scheduling, and briefs.
