Job summary

CTI in Memphis, TN is seeking an On-Site Audio Visual Design Engineer to design AV signal flows, create diagrams, and troubleshoot networks. You’ll work with existing architecture and electrical frameworks to deliver compliant, innovative AV solutions.

Responsibilities include writing Q-SYS design files at Level 2, performing PMs and commissioning, and staying current with AV integration technologies while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Audio Visual Engineering experience required; minimum 3 years designing AV signal flows and diagrams.
• Q-SYS Programming Level 2 proficiency required (LUA scripting helpful).
• Solid understanding of AV networking, VLANs and IP addressing.
• Associate degree preferred but not required; experience matters more.

Responsibilities

• Design AV signal flows and create detailed AV design diagrams.
• Work with existing architecture and electrical frameworks to design AV rooms.
• Troubleshoot existing AV infrastructure and resolve complex issues.
• Develop and write Q-SYS design files at a Level 2 proficiency.
• Ensure designs align with Enterprise AV standards while providing innovative solutions.
• Stay current with emerging AV integration technologies.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to bring ideas to life.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system commissioning on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct daily operational checks and routine system health assessments.
