Job summary

Symbotic seeks a System Engineer to ensure uptime and reliability of automated warehouse systems in a live production environment. This hands‑on role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance, and stability of electro‑mechanical systems, with close collaboration with on‑site teams.

You will diagnose PLCs (Allen‑Bradley), VFDs, motors, and sensors, support preventive maintenance, and use CMMS tools like Maximo to document actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 1+ year diagnosing PLCs (prefer Allen‑Bradley).
• 1+ year with VFDs, diagnosing speed/torque issues.
• 1+ year working with AC/DC motors.
• Hands‑on experience with conveyors, lifts, robotics, or similar automated systems.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Linux for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health of automated systems: conveyors, lifts, motors, sensors, PLCs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production‑impacting issues.
• Document maintenance actions and findings in CMMS (e.g., Maximo).
• Provide escalation support during system disruptions.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and technical teams to restore performance.
• Adhere to OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety standards.
