Job summary

Withum is seeking accounting graduates to join the Audit team as part of the November 2026 class in Columbia, Maryland. You will work on financial statement audits, internal control evaluations, and client engagements across diverse industries under supervision of a Manager or Partner.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, a 3.0+ GPA, and internship experience in public accounting. Proficiency in Excel is expected; willing to work on-site at one of our office locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting is required or expected.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• Internship experience with a public accounting firm is desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with audit software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements.
• Evaluate internal control systems and audit risk in accordance with GAAS.
• Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues.
• Use audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
