Job summary

Withum invites accounting graduates to join the November 2026 Audit class in Columbia, Maryland, gaining hands-on exposure to financial statement audits, internal controls, and client engagements across multiple industries.

You will analyze records, evaluate controls, prepare workpapers, perform testing, and communicate with clients as you develop your audit expertise in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Prior internship experience with a public accounting firm.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
• Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with audit software is a plus.
• Ability to work in one of our office locations.
• Preferred: 150 credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures.

• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues.
• Use audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
• Take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

The compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 based on location. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
