Job summary

University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to support athletic medicine services for student-athletes. This temporary, non-exempt role focuses on injury care, medical coordination, and daily clinic operations.

The position lasts up to 9 months with on-site duties at Colorado Springs campus; requires a Bachelor's in athletic training or related field, BOC certification and Colorado licensure; Master’s preferred; experience with EHR and documentation;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field required
• Master's degree preferred
• BOC certification required and Colorado licensure required
• CPR/AED certification required
• Experience with medical documentation and EHR systems
• Ability to maintain confidential records and ensure regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehab for ~370 student-athletes
• Maintain medical records, insurance, histories, referrals, and care plans
• Coordinate communication among athletic medicine staff, coaches, and student athletes
• Coordinate clinical and physician appointments with UCHealth or outside referrals
• Perform other duties as assigned
