The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for the Assistant Athletic Trainer in Intercollegiate Athletics. This temporary, non-exempt position supports athletic medicine services, injury care, and daily clinic operations for approx 370 student-athletes.
Under supervision of athletic leadership, duties include prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, medical recordkeeping, and coordinating referrals.

Because this appointment is temporary, you will not be eligible toreceive all of the benefits normally provided to members of theuniversity staff under the standard University of Colorado benefitsprograms. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave,medical, or retirement benefits. However, you are eligible toaccrue sick leave and you will accrue 0.034 hours of sick leave perhour worked.
Under the general guidance and supervision of the AssistantAthletic Director for Athletic Medicine, Director of Athletics, andTeam Physicians, the Assistant Athletic Trainer supportscomprehensive athletic medicine services through injury care,medical coordination,recordkeeping, and daily clinic operationswhile contributing to athlete wellbeing and performance outcomesacross intercollegiate programs. This position is temporary andexpected to last no more than 9 months.
