Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to be based in Chicago, IL working on our ORD 21 Program project.

The responsibilities include assisting the project Superintendent and Project Manager, coordinating subcontractors, and enforcing safety standards on-site. A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, engineering, or business management is required; experience with large general contracting is preferred. On-site onboarding and security screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, engineering discipline or business management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Responsibilities

• Assists the project Superintendent and Project Manager by performing a variety of tasks in support of construction activities.
• Monitors work performance of subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedules are followed.
• Assists with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.
• Monitors subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations.
• Reviews manpower, material, equipment requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Enforces the AECOM Hunt safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.
