Job summary

AECOM Hunt in Chicago, IL is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the ORD 21 Program on-site. You will assist the Superintendent and Project Manager by coordinating subcontractors, reviewing daily reports, and tracking progress against plans.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Management, with large general contractor experience preferred. The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and clear communication across field teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, an Engineering discipline or Business Management or similar major or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Responsibilities

Assists the project Superintendent and Project Manager by performing a variety of tasks in support of construction activities.
Under guidance of the Superintendent, monitors work performance of subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedules are followed.
Assists with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.
Enforces the AECOM Hunt safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.
Prepares reports, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
